Permanent Cosmetics Press Release

Madonna, Cher, Liz Taylor, Whitney Houston, Raquel Welch. What do these glamorous and hard working women have in common? Because of their busy schedules, they all wear permanently enhancing cosmetics.

The role of today's typical woman is very demanding; she wants a career, family, a home, and she wants to look great throughout her average sixteen hour day. "With permanent cosmetics, this is no longer a fantasy, and no longer for celebrities only," says Sherry Hackett, Director of the Permanent Cosmetics Institute.

Ms. Hackett is a board certified Paramedical Derma-Technician, as well as being certified in cosmetic micro-pigmentation, also known as permanent cosmetics. In addition, Ms. Hackett is a Permanent Cosmetics Certified Instructor. This is an elite group, and numbers less that 30 fully certified instructors in the United States. This certification allows her to offer instruction, and to certify others in this exciting field.

Combining artistic and technical skills with more than twenty five years' experience in the beauty industry, Sherry's expertise entails knowledge of many cosmetic problems. She has a wide range of clients from alopecia sufferers, enabling them to regain the self esteem that so often fades with the loss of facial and body hair, to visually impaired women, allergy sufferers, individuals with dexterity problems and women who are simply very active in sports, aerobics, etc.

Many plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists have considered doing micro-pigment implantations. However, they realized this type of work is generally not cost effective for a surgeon to perform, and is best left to those with a cosmetic background.

The Permanent Cosmetics Institute can now provide this service.

Not all clients at the Permanent Cosmetics Institute are women. Many of the clients are men, as permanent cosmetics may offer some flattering applications for a man as well. For example: lash enhancement, which denses the lashes, adds color and depth to eyes; brow enhancement, which makes the brows stronger and more prominent, and can change the shape of the entire face and expression. Particularly for the very blonde man, a taupe pigment is implanted between the lashes and between the brows creating a greater depth and definition of features.

Sherry's knowledge and understanding of the application of color allows her to accurately mix pigments for perfectly matched skin tones and undertones.
